Pregnancy Tests

How Do I Know if I'm Pregnant?

Are you experiencing pregnancy symptoms, and want to get tested?

Wondering whether or not you may be pregnant can bring feelings of dread, anxiety, stress or excitement, and we know that being pregnant isn’t always in your plan. If you’re considering your options, click here for an appointment

To verify your pregnancy, it’s important to get a lab-quality pregnancy urine (hCG) test. A urine pregnancy test detects hCG, which is a hormone that is secreted when you are pregnant.

Katie's House Pregnancy Center in El Dorado Springs and Lamar can provide lab-quality testing at no cost to you.  Services are free and confidential.

The most common signs and symptoms of pregnancy include:

  • Missed period
  • Unusual or abnormal period
  • Nausea and/or vomiting
  • Breast tenderness
  • Frequent urination
  • Mood swings/changes
  • Fatigue

Ultrasounds

If you are pregnant, an ultrasound will help determine how far along you are. We offer limited obstetrical ultrasound to prove the viability of pregnancy. Services are free and confidential.

Pregnancy Options

Your health and safety are important to us. If you think you are pregnant, find out for sure! Take the steps to get the medically-accurate information you need.

  • hCG urine pregnancy test
  • Limited OB ultrasound

When considering your options, our services can help you in your decision.  Our medical grade hCG urine pregnancy test can confirm your pregnancy, and a limited OB ultrasound can determine if your pregnancy is viable while also giving you vital information on your pregnancy’s development. This is important information to have when considering other options available to you.

Katie’s House Pregnancy Center does not provide or refer for abortions but our staff can provide a safe and confidential place to assist you in acquiring medically-accurate information so you make the right decision.

Breaking the Cycle of Abuse

Usually domestic violence occurs in the context of a volatile, dysfunctional relationship. A pattern develops in these relationships called the cycle of abuse. The phases of this cycle of abuse tend to become a vicious circle that gets worse over time without intervention. Stepping out of the cycle of abuse takes courage, which becomes possible by admitting to the problem and getting help.  If you’re in an abusive situation you can get free and learn to move beyond surviving to thriving in your relationships and life. Services are free and confidential.

Marriage Counseling

Whether engaged or married you can discover truths that will prepare you for marriage and strengthen your marriage. You can also discover how to turn what may be a disillusioned, divorce-bound marriage into a satisfying, dream relationship. Services are free and confidential.

Abstinence Training

Abstinence education is designed to teach youth how to walk in sexual wholeness in all areas of their life – physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual. Our character-based education provides opportunities for youth to develop positive traits like respect for self and others, responsibility, honesty, self-discipline, self-control, integrity, fairness, courage, etc. With these skills and traits, abstinence not only makes sense, but is a truly viable option. Services are free and confidential.

Community Assistance Referrals

We understand that often there is more than parenting resources that you need. We work with other local organizations to provide you with the community and financial resources that can guide you into a stable future. Services are free and confidential.
